GlotBee or DocTranslator for your document?
DocTranslator is quick and inexpensive for long files in over 100 languages. A contract, a certificate or a medical report needs more than a fast draft: the same terms on every page, a second reading, and numbers, dates and names that match the original.

| GlotBee | DocTranslator | |
|---|---|---|
| A glossary of names and terms | Made for each document before translating starts, and used on every page | Only one you write yourself, on Pro and Business plans |
| A brief written for this document | Subject, people, terms and tone worked out first, then a brief for this document | Each paragraph is translated as one passage; a full read first is not described |
| A second reading of every paragraph | An independent review, then proofreading | Automatic checks for the wrong language, repeats and untranslated text; a review of meaning is not described |
| A final consistency pass | A final pass over all of it, with a style sheet | A sentence that repeats is translated once, the same everywhere |
| Numbers, dates and names checked | Checked against the original automatically | Numbers only. Numbers, web and email addresses are compared; dates and names are not described |
| A record of what was checked | A translation audit: every number, date, code and name, and where the translation has it | Not described |
| The original layout kept | The same pages back, with scanned pages and text in pictures translated too | “Close, though not always identical”, in their words; text in pictures is not translated |
| Scanned pages | Straightened, every line read twice, and the translation set where each line was; stamps and signatures noted | Translated in place; stamps, seals and signatures kept as scanned |
| Personal data hidden before translating | ID numbers, accounts and contacts can be masked | Not described |
| Corrections with the layout kept | Side by side, one correction round included | Not described; a general PDF editor is included |
| Your files | Encrypted with your own key; deleted 30 days after delivery, or sooner if you choose | Encrypted in transit; kept while you subscribe and 30 days after, or 24 hours on the free plan |
| The price | In euros, VAT included, shown before you pay, and it does not change | In US dollars, before tax; their terms say a quote may change once the document is processed |
| Refunds | In full if the translation cannot be finished; a problem with the file is fixed or refunded within 14 days | Not refundable once processing begins, in their terms |
| Made for | Documents you file, sign, send or publish, and whole books | Long files in over 100 languages, at a low price per page |

Questions
When is DocTranslator enough?
To understand a long file in one of over 100 languages, DocTranslator is quick and costs little per page. It also takes PowerPoint, Excel and InDesign files, and its sister company offers certified translation by human translators.
When should I use GlotBee?
For a document you will sign, file, send to an office or publish: a contract, a court document, a medical report, a certificate, a scan or a book. It is read in full first, reviewed a second time, checked against the original for numbers, dates and names, and returned on its own pages.
Is the translation certified?
No. A GlotBee translation is careful: it is reviewed, proofread, and checked against the original for numbers, dates and names. Courts, embassies and registries usually ask for a certified translation, though, which means a sworn translator’s stamp and signature. GlotBee Personal does not certify. You can download the translation as Word, so a sworn translator can review it, and sworn translators use GlotBee Professional to certify their work.
Why is there no free sample?
Before you pay, you see the exact price and, for a PDF, the first page of your original, so you know what you are paying for. The full process runs on the whole document, from the first read to the final checks, so there is no single-page version of it to give away.
Where do these facts come from?
From DocTranslator’s own website, as of November 2026: its pricing, privacy and terms pages and its guides. They are linked under the table. Where a cell says “Not described”, we did not find it there.
